Big Orange Crayonmusical thingsAikagi Pigs Might Fly! Smile Records There is no doubt that Aikagi is the cutest band in the world. I mean, there's even a little Aikagi flag made with a toothpick and a bit of construction paper in with the cd! I thought that was just the coolest thing ever when my package from tweekitten came in the mail. Going on past the packaging to the music, Aikagi play really sweet and happy indie pop. Plus, they're from Japan, so they have that going for them, too. For some reason I really love Japanese pop bands. Something about the accent, maybe, or perhaps its just something about me that I just wasn't meant to understand... well anyway, I love stuff like this. Every song on this disc is incredibly catchy, especially the really nice title track. They cover a Metronome song, too, which is very cool. If you like really, really, REALLY cute indie pop, you really should pick up this very bright pink and wonderful cd. It's just 5 songs and pretty short, but they are all really nice songs that you'll listen to again and again and find youself smiling and happy for no reason, which is the best reason to be happy if you ask me.
