I've been on an indiepop kick lately. I'm all about happy music now, which is why I think this album is so great. When I first got it in the mail from Pal, I popped it in and my first thought was "Wow! This sounds really familiar, but I can't place where..." I kept on like that through the whole thing and then a little while later I shouted (I was alone, so nobody really cared) "THE AMPS!" Tammy Ealom totally sounds like Kim Deal. They really do sound like the amps, but much more on the sparkly and poppy side but still with a slight bit of that lo-fi tinge. Which is good.

Not to say that they're ripping off the Amps, though. They just sound similar. I really love the whole thing. Its totally fun. There's this part in "Jenny Come On" where she says "Its pretty! And she got it for a dollar" that would make Atlas smile and jump up and down merrily. It has a lot of infectious good energy, so be careful. I found myself wanting to skip through the halls of my school after listening it during lunch, which is probably dangerous.

My favorite songs on it are the previously mentioned "Jenny Come On", "Extra-Ordinary", and "You Stand Here" all of which can make even writing web pages fun.

:-)

Total score: 534 out of 530 (-4 for making me act dangerously silly)
