Big Orange Crayonmusical thingsSuper Furry Animals Guerrilla Flydaddy Records This shit is weird. Weird is a good thing though, and this album is an example of that. I don't even really know what category to place it in. I guess indie rock is ambiguous enough, but inside of that, SFA cover the slow melodic bits, the harder rock-type bits, the trippy bits, the electronic bits, the emo bits and you get the idea. The one common element through all of the songs is the lead singer's voice, which kinda reminds me of Elvis Costello's. They're also Welsh, which you don't see too often... So, should you buy this album? I'd say so. People who are fans of Cibo Matto should check it out, and Beck fans will probably like it too. It's varied enough that you're pretty much guaranteed to find at least something that you like, but you'll probably end up liking it all because it's all pretty infectious.
